'people of gēn 根' Vol. 1

Today we are kicking off an in-house project — ‘people of gēn 根’.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

From time to time, we will be featuring each of our team members who are often hidden behind the scenes but make our restaurant operations thrive. They are the people who bring craft, expertise, and many intersecting identities to work every day and it is the support of our members that allow us to do what we want to do. Therefore, this platform would be great for our colleagues to connect, collaborate and share insightful ideas, to learn with and from each other — regardless within ourselves or with all of you. ⁣⁣⁣

For Vol.1, we have our very own durian sensei - Jason, and he will be sharing all his inside knowledge about durians. Jason will bring us to the world of durian to discover the types and tastes of durian, how to choose durian and how to open it, in episodes of Instagram LIVE. You are welcome to throw in any of your wonders about durian and your questions will be answered there.⁣⁣⁣

Along with that, we will also be releasing a series of durian desserts and delicacies for delivery/pick-up. Because… why not make the most out of our durian season? We already have a couple of desserts ready but we would still love to know what kind of dessert you’d like to see us make with durians, so comment below and we will try to whip something up!⁣⁣⁣

Oh, and if you’re upset that there are no more roadside durians during the MCO period, fret not. We got your back, as Jason will be getting all the hard to source, best quality local durians delivered to your doorstep to fit your cravings. 😋⁣⁣⁣

So keep your eye on us to know when to tune in for LIVE and for more info on the desserts/delivery. This project will be on-going until the durian season ends, and we hope that we can bring a little bit of fun to this period while you all remain safe and healthy!⁣⁣⁣
